Gearbox getting slower and slower-HELP!
Hello,
I have x type 2001, 3 litre automatic and I have noticed that my gearbox are getting slower with gear shifting. When I start driving it changes to second gear really quickly on very low revs and does the same to third and fourth...To rev the car bit more on each gear I really have to keep accelerator pedal pressed into the floor! I have recently done 800 mile trip in it and noticed on motorways when I'm on fifth gear and trying to reduce gear when overtaking, gearbox is trying to reduce it and it makes car to jump slightly every few seconds, but stays on the same gear. Only pressing my right food harder it will reduce gear. It never used to be like that before. I had a look online for few months now and found that this could be caused by low gearbox oil level.
I'm really trying to avoid going to Jag dealers.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Chris.
