Default Goodbye to the Jag

I know in the past couple years I have not been as active on this site as I once was. I still stop bye and try to help when I can, but last month I traded in my 05 X-Type and got a Volkswagen CC.

I must say that I will miss the Jaguar and all of the help this site has offered. I owned a 2003 and then the 2005. Both were great cars. The 2005 had 125,000 mils on it when I traded it in.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the years of help. This is by far the best car forum site I have ever had the joy of being a member of. I have never learned so much about a car I own from a public website such as this one. As i visit the Volkswagen site I quickly see how helpful everyone on this site has been.

I will still stop by and try to help others as much as I can. I am sure I will get another Jaguar as my next car and its good to know you guys will always be here to lend a hand with whatever questions I may have.

Thank you again!

Hey Jvegas, another one moving on to pastures new eh?

Sorry to hear that you're letting the Jag go, but life moves and and things change I guess.....Is it a VW Passat CC you have now?
If so, nice ride, my wife wants one at some point too.

Thanks so much for your kind words on the forum here, I and others do appreciate it.
Being active on around 7-8 forums other forums I too can fully appreciate just how nice and friendly everyone is here, how there's always an answer at hand & it seems like generally a nice place to be.

I'm assuming you'll stop by soon at the very least and post some pics of your new ride?

Please don't be a stranger, Jag owner or not you'll always be welcome here.

Best

Jim

Did your Jag have problems? What was the reason to switch to VW?

I will post pictures of the Volkswagen CC soon. It is a very good looking ride IMO.

The X-type did not have any major issues. Just a few little things, but nothing out of the normal. All in All it was the best car I have ever owned.

The reason for the switch to the VW was a few reasons. First, I think it is just a stunning car. The lines are something to admire. Second, I wanted a car that is not seen everywhere like a Honda accord, BMW, or a Ford. I did consider a Jaguar XF, but while at a stoplight one day a Volkswagen CC pulled up next to me and I noticed I could not stop looking at. About a month later I was looking for one just like the one I saw, White with black interior. I found one online, went and looked at it, and drove it home a couple hours later.

So far its a nice car. We will see how it holds up. The one thing I found out after getting the new car is how much I know about the X-type from this site and how little I know about the VW.

Congrats on the new ride. My sister-in-law bought a 2012 black on black CC 4motion with nice sporty 5 spoke wheels. It has all the other bells and whistles as well. Like you said, it's a stunning car. You do not see many of them. Hope you have good luck with it. She has had it about a year and a half now and I don't think she has had any issues with it.
