Decided i was going to change the front sway bar bushings on my 2006 x-type
I had already looked at them and said "no way" but saw some threads where it had been succesfully completed
So i weld an open end 15 mm spanner to my 13 mm ratchet spanner ( to make it a long spanner which is needed) and got to it
3 of the 4 bolts broke loose
1 came out easy
1 was a workout but moved and the third moved 1/16 at a time but required enough force that it seemed i would pull the car of the lift
The fourth bolt simply began rounding off.
This was all after 4 hours of work , so i decided to abandon ship and put it all back together
I then pulled up the forum and and noticed that the subframe can be lowered from the rear
With new enthusiasm i went down and started over, but the rounded bolt proved to be the nail in the coffin
So , looks like i will be dropping the whole subframe

passenger side is the only side you need to lower the frame when changing the bushings for the anti roll bar. due to the steering rack in the way.
I highly recommend getting set of these makes for an easy job.
heat and penetrating oil also helps
no need to take the bracket off all the way just loosen enough to remove and replace the rubber don`t forget a little silicon paste on the inside of the bushes will help with squeeks.
