Default Having trouble solving P0101 code

2005 X-Type 3.0 Auto

What was once an infrequent code that cleared itself has now become a daily code. Every morning on my way to work the CEL lights on the same 2 hill descents about 4-7 minutes after start. It never happens under a load, it's always at light throttle as the car is almost coasting. The car runs fine. When the code appears sometimes there is a very slight hesitation barely noticeable.

I tried cleaning the MAF sensor, swapped out the air filter and checked for obvious leaks but still got the error. I brought it to my mechanic and he said the MAF sensor was at fault and installed a new one. I still get the code everyday. He smoked the intake looking for leaks and found none. He drove the car linked to a scanner for miles and found no problems (but he didn't get the code while driving either). Now we're both scratching our heads.

Here are 2 freeze frames I'm able to get with my cheap scanner.

FuelSys1 , CL , CL
FuelSys2 , CL , CL
LoadPCT , 16.5 , 22
ECT , 187 , 167
ShrtFT1 , 0 , -1.6
LongFT1 , 2.3 , 2.3
ShrtFT2 , 1.6 , -1.6
LongFT2 , 2.3 , 2.3
FRP psi , 54.8 , 56.6
MAP inHg , 6.2 , 8.0
RPM , 1750 , 1672
VSS mph , 35 , 34
SparkAdv , 38 , 34
IAT , 63 , 68
MAF lb/min , .788 , .996
TP% , 7.5 , 8.6

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Winter is coming and I'm in no mood to be troubleshooting this in the freezing weather. Thanks in advance.

Just in case someone else experiences this problem, here's what solved it for me.

After some research I decided to try "Sea Foaming" the engine. I poured some in a partial tank of gas and used the remainder of the Sea Foam through the vacuum port right behind the throttle body. After performing the procedure I haven't had the CEL issue.

I opted not to put any into the engine oil because from what I hear it cleans so well that you'll end up with oil leaks where you had none before. Being Jags aren't known for being oil tight, I left well-enough alone.

If anyone needs help with the procedure just ask. It's pretty straight forward. There is also info available online to make your own Sea Foam from simple ingredients. Now that I know it works, I'll make my own as a regular engine treatment.
