Hello & Help with HID install Please
Hi,
I am a new X Type Owner.
I went for a Silver 2004 Diesel Estate Sportwith Charchol Leather interior. Which I think Looks really great. I bought if from the Jag main dealer as I wanted a car that had not been round the world 4 times and wanted a decent warrenty..
I have a few minor Grumbles:
1: Fuel economy it is averaging 35.3mpg which is rubbish so its going back next week to be looked at. I am guessing maybe the EGR valve & MAF sensor need to be looked at as the car has only 30k on the clock it doesn't look like it has been used heavily so hopefully a simple fix for the dealer.
2: No CD changer and cost to install one or the ACM. So will be installing an ACM..
3: Really rubbish lights - I have decided to go down the HID route and have already got the KIT used by several people on the forum. Looking through the instructions it seems quite straight forward with one exception. It is looking to take a +ve and -ve feed from the old light fitting as far as I can see there is only 1 lead - so where are people getting the -ve feed for the unit?
Any help or pointers would be gratefully recieved.
Cheers
Frank

RE: Hello & Help with HID install Please
Hi Frank n welcome to the forum.
Sounds like a nice car, but the mpg is low and needs checking for sure.
Standard lights are poor and HID is the way to go. There are quite a few people here who have upgraded and should be able to help.
Come on guys, help out thew newbie plz
Jim
