Good afternoon guys,
Let me introduce myself first off, i am new here. My friend has a jaguar x type 2002 v6 3.0. I need some instructions how to remove the front cover or whatever is holding stock radio so i can see if he's connections are good. All his 4 speakers went bad all sudden and he's tweeters are only working ontop.
Perhaps a manual you guys might have or common knowledge since you guys are jaguar users.
thanks a lot,
Deltasoft-----PS: if i post in wrong forum, please foward me to right one.
thanks again.

Remmove the very top plastic that covers the hazard button, it should just pop out with light force. There are 2 screws there, then remove the ash tray by removing the shifter face plate first, then the 2 screws for the ash tray will be exposed. When the ash try is removed, you will see 2 more screws for the bottom part of the radio.
Hope this helps

yea, its just like Racer sed, but for the last two screws at the bottom, they are covered by a plastic piece so so cant see them, just yank it off to see the screws. i took mine out, i have an 04, but i think its the same. good luck with it.

wow thanks a lot , i printed it out and gave it to my friend , it did help!!!! you guys are the best, now one more question. The audio went out completly in all 4 spkrs but tweeters play audio. I am thinking it might be a fuse within radio? because it cant be possible all 4 spkrs be gone no sound, dont you think? or perhaps radio is defective on the 4 channels?
thanks please advise me on what you think best i should do. I have no warranty to repair this issue. So i must do so myself for my friend :-)
thanks guys,
Deltasoft.

Sounds like your amp is singing the blues, but I would check the connections first, (one amp in the right rear pass door)

hey thanks alot man, i did checked the radio and connections are fine. now the question is :
where is the amp or amps in the car?
Does the radio has a built in amp?
How do i remove the door panels? is there any hidden door screws i should be aware off? because is not coming out.
Also do you have the wiring chart for the X type's radio in order for me to troubleshoot the cable connections properly?
thanks , let me know guys, very important,
Deltasoft.
