Help needed with fitting Navsat & Bluetooth
I am well into my new project of fitting out a none Factory fitted X Type 2003 with a SatNav & Bluetooth capability. - along with and new Android touch screen Head Unit.
However I am still wrestling with connections. I would welcome help from anyone who knows this job. The above diagram is where I think I am at the moment, with certain connections
issues. The diagram maybe incorrect, I have mocked this up as I have investigated the various aspects of this upgrade. Can anyone put me right based on the diagram and of course
any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance to those I have already had great info from.

Dennis,
It would easier to send the pics via email - if you let have your address I will send that way. Otherwise I will send via the Forum. I am still awaiting my droid modified head unit back which will show all the leads and potential connections. Once I have all I will send on to you. Thanks once again- Ray

you will need one of these bluetooth modules whitch plugs into your harness in the link below
https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Jaguar-X-Ty...-ae/2284315022
plugs here
by looking at your trunk you have the phone line already installed , the othe end is under the armrest plug the the btum under there then you need the silver box module for the trunk, also theres a voice module box

Hi Dennis
I do have the silver blue tooth module under the Sat Nav CD unit and also the BTUM box they should be among the pics I sent.
So basically two points
Is the installed telephone loom the right one for bluetooth as my vehicle was produced prior to this technology as far as I am aware.
I purchased two more updated looms that one of them apparently need installing to replace the non-bluetooth one already in-car.
The other is that I need to remove the arm rest and see what connector is under there to connect the BTUM box into.
Is that how you see it ?

Hi Dennis
Yes I found this plug yesterday and fitted the BTUM module. Could I ask - The optical cable, one is already installed into the car
is this enough ? or do I have put a second line in to make a loop ? or indeed is it enough to just loop a 3 way at the Navsat boot end ?
I also found under the seat the blue connector for the Navsat loom I installed - there was a small grey one which I am assuming is
the antenna connector.

Dennis, Please see the latest diagram revision of my project. I am slowly getting there but still need to
know if I do need to install any more optical cabling than I already have as you noticed from photograph
in the boot area. If not then I assume the loop system is put into place by the 3 way optical lead in boot
area between the Satnav & bluetooth silver module.
