Help please my ears are bleeding!
Help...
I've just had to sell the other kidney to pay for my XType's latest service, parts and MOT which is bad enough but read on (I hope someone can help)
Part of the latest revamp was to replace the alloys - I bought some mint 18" Jag standard Arubas to replace the cracked and scuffed originals. New brake pads / discs and a PAS pipe for the front right.
Ever since (2 weeks) there is now a horrendous screech when turning right (3/4 to full lock) - at slow to medium speeds. It sounds like metal wrenching on metal but the MOT tester passed the car as fully fit. I've spent a shed load of money on this and I don't want to waste any more for labour trying to locate the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
PS. The first one to offer earplugs, earmuffs or self-deafening may receive a less than genial reply!! =)
