Default Sticking Door Handles fix

Didn't get much time this weekend, however I got round to doing the sticking door Handles. I removed the handle itself from the door and found the metal bar that the handle pivots on, very corroded. The plastic itself was also pinching against itself, leaving little room for it to manoeuvre. I used some wd40 and a hacksaw blade, I widened the gap where the 2 parts meet and sprayed a good amount of wd40 into the new gaps I'd made. Working it in by moving the handle up and down, it eventually loosened up. I rinsed off all the wd40 with some hot water and applied some silicone lubricant. Here's the video that goes into more depth.

Default Gearbox Fluid Change

Yesterday I changed the gearbox fluid. The transmission has alot of slop in it, from somewhere in the gearbox or transfer box, so both will be rebuilt soon, I wondered whether it had ever had a fluid change so went ahead and did that. I warmed the fluid up by driving, removed the filler bung to prevent vaccume, drained oil and refilled. I refilled with a tube from above. Here's the video.

Default Custom Exhaust Part 3

Finally got around to getting the exhaust done. We used bits of pipe lying around from other vehicles. Decided to add a sports silencer but I may take this off on the final stainless system.

Default ARB Droplink Replacement

Went to do the front brakes and noticed the Droplink had completely disconnected from itself. So swapped them out for the Mondeo ones

Default Battery Relocation

After removing alot of weight from the rear end, needing to make room for a new intake design. I decided to move the battery into the boot.

Make sure you look up the manual retrofitting of boot (trunk) access. If your battery goes dead you'll be hurting. No access at all, can't get into it.

The rear seats have been removed, also this vehicle doesn't have fold down seats so they can be removed and fitted from inside the car.

Default Front discs and pads replacement

Here's the video changing the front discs and pads

Unfortunately the car has dumped all it's oil, from what I'm sure is the crankshaft end seal. So back to taking everything off to have a look, the one thing I paid someone to do and it's not right 😩
