Had my car at the dealership on Friday. You guys were right, needed a new drive shaft. Got it replaced on Friday and delivered back to me washed and vacuumed out. All warranty work, so good to go. Man I am super impressed with my Jag dealership. Willis Auto Campus in Des Moines, Iowa.
Thanks for the help guys.

Hello all,
I had this issue as well and the driveshaft was replaced last winter.
After the replacement, I noticed my mpg dropped to 19 from 24.5, Jaguar said what they performed would not change my mpg...I beg to differ, but want your opinion as I am only 3k away from warranty expiration.
Also, the whine is back from time to time this year as well.

Hi all would it be to much of a problem to post a couple or pic'ys on were to bung this grease in to the centre bearing, i have had my x into the *******s regarding this high ptched whine and at first they said it was the prop shaft bearing but then they changed there mind saying it may not be the bearing and to run it for a few more weeks to see if it gets worse (dont do it all the time) ,,result problem still not fixed and car has not yet covered 15000 miles. problem is its driving me mad, had the whine over the last 2 days again took it to the *******s and guess what when they drove it the whine had goneso ibrought the car back home and on the return home the darn thing whined at me again makes you look a bit silly dont it. A little bit more advice on this grease fix would be most apreciated as it seems a common fault. Thanks in advance. A happy new year to all.
