I just bought my Wife a 2003 X-Type, but the hood ornament is missing. It seems that the base is still mounted on the hood, but the Jaguar itself was stolen from the previous owner.

My question is that I've seen multiple "Leapers" on ebay, but in different sizes and pins on them. What exactly am I looking for? And is there a place I can buy one for under $100?

X Type leapers slightly different , the leaper itself is positioned slightly higher than the ones used in X300s .

It depends, you can get the leaper, alone for 50 bucks, or around there, the problem is the x type/s type have a spring loaded system, so if we hit someone, it does't leave blood and guts all over the car lol.

try to find one witha sping, cap, you can get complete one ( which i recommend) for 120 i believe.
