Default how to fix broken headlights

I have a problem that most of you have. My headlights bounce around and won’t adjust with the leveling screws. Well this past week I bought a broken headlight with the same problem mine has for experimental purposes. Long story short. I now have a non-bouncing and adjustable headlight! Here is what I did; the reason the inner housing was moving around was because there are only 2 little pieces of plastic and a little “shelf” holding the inside of the light to the outside. I used a product called JB Weld (can be found at any hardware store) and carefully aligned the first piece of plastic on the low beam side. I them layered the welding on the plastic piece. I let the light sit upside down over night to keep pressure on the plastic tab. The next day I flipped the light over and it seemed to hold. Next I did the same thing to the high beam side. Two days later I coated the same parts with more welding paste. Today I tested the light by tuning the adjustment screw….. And it worked! I am going to use more weld on the two joints and then install the light into my car. Below are some pictures of the finished product. Honestly I did not think this would work so I took no before pics. One thing to remember for those of you that will fix your headlights, they have to remain out of the car for around3-5 days for the weld to cure properly so make sure you have another car to drive or buy broke headlights and then just swap them when they are fixed.

It is a good fix. This is for non-Hid lights.

it's on a glass table and the magazine is under the glass. it is "Money" magazine. and yes for non-HID lights. but mine has the HID conversion kit in it.

HID conversion is different from factory HID. This fix will not work on the HID lamps. Only on Halogen assembley.
