2003 X Type 3.0 here with 56,250 on the clock.
Had that grizzly incident with the dealer and the throttle body earlier this year but Jaguar customer service took care of it. That really impressed me.

I bought my 02 X-Type 2 weeks ago and it has 144,000miles on her. I was told the tranny was replaced at 75,000 and I did a wheel bearing and tie rod end the other weekend

Default Two high-mileage 2002 X-Types

I have a 2002 X-Type on which the family has put 302,000 km without any failures at all in the engine, transmission, or accessories. I did have a small leak fixed on the nut of the output to the driveshaft.

I purchase a second 2002 two years ago with 117,000 km, and the previous owner had the transmission replaced under warantee. The odometer has now reached 201,000 km. I had a new seal installed on the front of the driveshaft where it was leaking.

Both cars required replacement of the rear forward suspension links from time to time.

The tires on both cars started to scallop in the inside edges, so I have just changed all the struts and shocks.

I just hit 60k miles on my 05, I've had it for 2 years and had to replace a few things under warranty. Driveshaft, control arms, bushings, tires, battery, radiator fan ( my cousin pulled the fuse while car was on which caused my radiator fan to blow thank god for warranty or that would have been 2 grand out of pocket ). I still haven't replaced my spark plugs, and I'm thinking my front suspension is starting to go again, starting to squeek from time to time when I go over bumps.

I bought my 04 x type 3.0 in June of 2008 with 58,000 miles on her. She now has 75,000 on her. I drive her every day. I'm currently in misery over the throttle pedal sensor that may be defective. I love the car, though. The bells and whistles and the AWD make this my favorite of all the cars I've owned.

Hi my sept 02 x type is just about to clock up 127,000 I just need to sort out a couple of scratches on the paint work from the previous owner and she'll look pretty much brand new.
I love driving it so much, I got into a car that I'd driven before and thought was quite nice (pug 407 with the luxury packs) the other day and hated it now. I would love to upgrade to a late XJ as some point.
