Stupid question. I click on Forums, Jaguar Models (modern) and choose X-type. I wanted to search on master cylinder issues but when I go to the upper right hand side I've chosen threads and posts, but when I do it knocks me out of X-type and gives me info on all Jag models. Is there another place I should be using a search tab?
Go to search, click "advanced search", enter search info on left, IF by a certain member = fill in screen name in appropriate member name box, go down to "search in forum(s). DESELECT "also search in Child forum", click "search in all forums", DESELECT , scroll down to X Type and select, hit the search button at bottom.

In response to the original poster and the answer, I figured out most of the procedures by myself. However I have to say that this Jaguar forum site is one of the most awkward, clunky systems that I’ve seen on the ‘net.
Was it a commercially written package?
Wow, Dell is the master of the search, I had no idea all that was available. Thanks!
I think from your original question you are using the global search and not the search for the particular forum. If you use the forum search it will give you only results for the forum you are looking at, i.e. X-Type only. You have to be logged in to do a forum search (I think).
