Default I have been car shopping

Okay guys,
I guess i have been disappointed with my Jag because of the minor issues, along with the tire noise which hasn't been resolved since i had the car. Anyway, the car is at the dealer, so hopefully they can fix it.
However, i started to test drive some cars in the meantime to see what is out there. I would like to keep my Jag, because it is affordable and i love the way it looks, but my head is not clear at this point.
So far I have looked at Infiniti G35, Volkswagen Jetta GLI, Audi A4/A3, MazdaSpeed6.
I test drove the Infiniti and that **** is fast as hell. Loved it. Handles better than a Beamer, but much cheaper. Jetta GLI was a very nice car and for a 2.0T I was very impressed. I loved it and it is about 10K cheaper than Infiniti. Audi A4 is pricey like the Infiniti. It drives nice, same engine as GLI, but much slower b/c it is heavier. Mazda is fast is hell, not bad at all.

I am contemplating whether i should keep the Jag or get something else. I guess time will tell.

I personally like the A3 most in your list. Mazdaspeed6 sounds like it'll be fun to drive, but I've seen one inside,
and it almost certainly will feel like a step down after the X.

By far, out of your list the most complete car is the G35. The Mazdaspeed 6 is the fastest, and the Audi is the most luxurious. The GLI isn't worth it, IMO! I would suggest keeping the Jag for the meer reason of keeping a familiar face here on the forum!

I am waiting to get the Jag today. If everything is resolved, i will be happy and will keep the it. I love the way it drives, handles, looks, etc. It is just that i want the car to be in perfect running condition, if not i get really annoyed.

I know how you guys feel. The Jag is my first luxury daily driver, so I really enjoy it, and mine has all of the little rings and dings and rattles associated with our cars, but I've gotten used to it and have found way to ignore it, MY STEREO!

Nice bigdreams drown out the problems love your thinking~long as those noises aren't your wheels getting ready to fall off! Hey dunhill how long is yours still under warranty??? What exactly is your price range? I assume you are looking at brand new cars...Why not look into a new jag! You buy a used one from a dealer that is like new you'll get the 100k mile warranty and a nearly brand new car. Problem solved~you still have the look, feel, and response of the jag while being safe with a warranty! Of the choices you gave I'd take the infiniti, even though I'm not a fan of asian cars. I think audi and vw are overrated overpriced german cars just like all of them. Mazdas are quick but still have a certain lack of luxury which it sounds like your looking for.

Okay guys. I got the Jag back today. Guess what the problem was that was causing the tire noise? The bearing on the front left side was bad. So it took retarded Jag technicians 3 triesto finally figure out what the problem was after telling them. Anyway, it is all fixed and NO MORE TIRE NOISE. I am finally happy. Therefore, I will keep it. All the minor items have been fixed/or replaced as well.

I still have warranty until end of June this year. But at this point, i don't think i have any major electrical or mechanical issues.

I saw the S Type R today at the dealer. 400 ponies!!!! Wow it looked really nice especially in blue.....It was 65K.

With the STR, I'd definitely go used, since the car devalues so quick and with low miles and fairly new, it'll be nearly half of that price!

Yeah, but we've really missed race, you and some of the other frequent posters. Dunhill has come on a few times, and even Andy came by to say wuzup a couple of times, but between buck, bo, cadi, 04xtype and a few others who have come by, things have been barely staying afloat. Did I forget to mention aquiller, because he's really kept things running since he got the net at home. Boy am I glad he got the net now!
