Results accurate as of 2004................UK is a measly 6th in the world for beer consumption per capita at 99 litres per year, USA were only 13th with 81.6 litres per head, and Canada was way down at no 19 with a pathetic 68.3 litres per head ( must try harder Canada)
I read several reports some of which say that Canada did try harder and actually overtook USA in the "league" but, these were conflicting results!
Czech Republic were no1 at 156.9 litres with Republic of Ireland 2nd and Germany 3rd

% wise, the US consumes FAR less oil and natural resources than European countries. The US has a larger population than France, the UK, and Germany COMBINED. Also, the US landmass is over4 times larger than those combined countries.
Overall, China is the largest consumer of natural resources in the world, followed by India.
% of population is ruled by Japan.
People really don't understand how LARGE the US is. They think we consume everything when in fact we are a very heavy populated country that sits on a major landmass. All things should be taken into consideration when debating

[sm=americanasmiley.gif][sm=partyparty.gif][sm=patriot.gif] I'm proud to be a pig-headed, oil consuming, beer drinking, weed smoking(j/k) American. The fact is, America has more tree-huggers than the entire world combined. We have the Save the Trees foundation, the World Wildlife Federation, the animal rights this, the woman rights that, bullshit(j/k again). If we spent a little more time realizing that our suicide rate has skyrocketed in the last 20 years, that TV has a bigger influence on the development of a child that its own parents, and that it's time to invade Canada, then maybe, just maybe, we might be able to become better people and a better country.

Forget about taking over Canada. Yes, it has some great hiking....but, if you are going to take something over make it worth while. We have Puerto Rico half in the door, finish job and land a beach...not to mention all those bikini bound beauties....
