Angry I thought I won the lotto.

In my search for new headlights....mine are trash...I found a complete set w/everything including the working washers and ballasts, bulbs,,,,clean. But,,,they are in England. The seller tells me they wont work on a left hand drive car and are not convertible. Is there a workaround? There are 3 used lights in Canada....period and only a few in the states. My only option is to put in non washer ones and just call it a day. I need headlights so I can drive at night.

I took mine apart by un-gluing the clear front lenses, and performed some hot-glue-gun repairs to the internals. Installed threaded rod to adjust the aim. Then used the hot glue to reseal the clear lenses. I polished the lenses and they have been working fine ever since. It really was not all that hard to do.

I recently installed H1 LED's in the projectors. They are not as good as the H1 HID China kits I had before.

I found a pair of halo lenses in the states. No washers but that’s ok. I need lights more than I need washers. $275 USD for both. Free delivery.

Doug:

have you verified that the adjusting mechanism on the lamps you are buying is intact? Heat and age make the plastic adjusters brittle and breakable, as you probably know ☺️. There are metal replacement parts available periodically on ebay.

I own two X-Types so I'm very familiar with the problem. I bought a used set from Ebay that needed work and took my time rebuilding them. Bought the adjuster kits and heated the headlights in my home oven to 175 degrees. Took my time rebuilding them and swapped them into the car. Then rebuilt those and keep them in my garage for the next time they're needed. You could also do the same thing and sell your rebuilt set on Ebay; probably get some of your money back. .
