james Bryant, when you say induction kit, a lot of different things are running through my head since you have a diesel. If you could, explain what you are thinking and then we can put on our thinking caps and come up with a plan. If you are wanting something that is bolt on, I wish you luck. Your best best would be to see if someone makes something for the Mondeo and then make a few changes to make it work on the X-Type. That would be your closest bet. Otherwise, you are doing a complete custom job and that is going to involve a fair amount of metal work.

Blownkitty, you know me all too well. Granted, I have seen when happens when there is too much pressure inside the submarine and the COW opens the induction valve. Lets just say that poopey suits started fitting their names. Nothing like hearing a 100 hp induction fan trying to spin one way and the air leaving the ship is strong enough to spin it the other way and spin it so fast that it blows itself apart. Yeah, that left quite a few brown marks that day. OH the things I have seen happen on a submarine. There is normally a reason why I say "Don't do this" as I have seen what happens when they do that. Granted, this was not quite as bad as the day we tried to make the submarine become a helicopter. Stuck the screw out of the water while trying to make sub go down. Needless to say, the RPM limiter couldn't do its job. All I remember is the mechanic in charge of the propulsion turbines running to the control area, opening the door and "whoosh", the throttleman was gone. I'm sure you have a few stories like that yourself.

P.S. Ohio, Alabama, Tucson, and oversight for the building of the VA class subs (774-789)
