you know i think the xenon fog is a little played out. i live in ny and every other car on the road here is a Chrysler 300/magnun/charger (on 20/22's no less) with the xenon mains and fogs. i see that combo every 10 feet out here, so i got to liking the way the import guys put the bright yellow/green fogs with regular xenon mains. thats a much more exotic look.

somekidzenvy, I gotta say your X-Type is probably the most attractive X-Types with Chrome. Very tasteful and it looks good.

Oh yea, and the Xenon fog thing is a bit much. I thought about it, but...
1. Didn't want to go through the trouble of installing them
2. I didn't wanna blind drivers
3. I do prefer the amber colored fogs.

I had a Honda Prelude a few years back with amber fog lights, and it looked really good at night.

Didnt want to blind drivers, your HID kit it itself will blind some drivers. As fogs are built very low on teh bumper the lights are facing down not up.

Yeah somekidz why don't you upgrade your picture with the chrome mirror covers...I absolutely LOVE YOUR CAR WITH THEM! I can't say I've seen too many other cars that I've actually like them on let alone love them on. Navi's have them and I like them but on your car the one's i've seen are ugly...yours is a totally different story though! Come on show em off again!

Thats what I told jason about the fogs is that it truly isn't worth the hassle for the h11's in the fogs...I tried to talk him into getting a cheap pair of yellow bulbs to offset the look. I have sylvania silverstart i paid 50 bucks for in my fogs but the fogs are rarely on...if they came on automatically I might put hids on them but not without that! Here in michigan there aren't too many cars with hids especially cars that don't have them stock! Most people throw the fake blues in and call it good! I hate that look! I was thinking about doing the 3k kit for the fogs...

yeah I was thinking about it gotti and never got to it another hassle to order it, and also I hate how you have to turn on the fogs manually. I just bought a 01 maxima and I am gonna upgrade that to HID low beam and fogs, if I know im gonna keep that car , if not im gonna stick with the jag.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to hard wire the fogs to come on with the headlights, but do you really need fog lights, when it's not foggy

I rarely use my fogs. The HID's are bright enough. If it is foggy, I'll turn em on. Otherwise, I just keep it on auto.

Nah I just like teh looks and on the maxima its auto headlights iwht the fogs. So I dont have to turn them on manually. Thats why I didnt order it for my jag because its a pain to switch on and off on fogs.

You call turning a knob 1/2 inch clockwise and pulling it out a pain? You plan on getting married one day

No spartan but its kind aof messed up how you have to do that every time, I forgot the fog lights myself a few times then I never used them again. So thats what I meant.

Yeah I hate turning on my fogs too thats why I didn't invest in hids...I'd get a set of decent bulbs but I already have a set of sylvania silverstars in mine and don't use them...I've never had a car that turned its fogs on automatically nor does it make too much sense that it even does turn on automatically...that is weird...

Fogs turning on automatically???Jeeeesh, what next?
Fog lights are super bright and angles down n wide to give better lighting in "FOG" and also so that you get less reflection off the fog.
They're not I suspect available on a ny car to come on automatically because its not foggy every day.....lol
As a side note - Over here driving with Front fogs on in clear weather is considered dangerous as you can dazzle oncomming drivers and is against the law. You can certainly be fined for it!

Don't they have similar laws in the states?
