Hey bigdreams I'm 22 but my body is aged! I've been slave driven carrying drywall for the last 3 years and man was it horrible! Carry that drywall for a couple of years and trust me you'd see where I'm getting if from! Actually carry it for a day and let me know what you think! I've gained about 30+lbs. from working there. Between the muscle that you can't see and the mixture of fast food! Actually lost weight since I quit my job! I think I gained most of that weight because of my wife being pregnant though! I just need a good couple of jogs and some activity to get my body whipped back into shape or at least use to running, throwing and what not!

I'm 20 and quite out of shape since I started working security. I was very fit when I was installing marble, but in the past year and a half I gained about 40 pounds then I lost 15 pounds when I decided to start working out! I now see that **** that grown-ups used to talk about the metabolism slowing down!

I don't think I have that but man I've beat the snot out of my body! You install marble tops or mainly tile? Why'd you stop installing? Didn't you make good money? I have experience in tile and man if I could get work up here in Michigan I'd be rich! Sucky part is that there is no market for anything up here!

RE: Insurance difference on 3.0's
I stopped installing because my back was starting to kill me, and the price to lay marble kept getting driven down and down. Nothing against immigrants, as most of my family are immigrants, but they were charging to little and even including materials! Nobody wanted to give work unless it was at $3 bucks a foot AND materials were included. My running price was $4.50 a foot and when people started laughing at my price I got discouraged. The last job I did was at $3.50/ foot with materials included AND diamond cut! Not only did I kill my back with pieces that were 2" x 2"x 3/4" but I had to include materials. Believe me, I was desperate and had to pay rent, and my helper had to feed his child and we hadn't worked in like 2 weeks. Now the market has gone up a little bit, but a year and a half ago it was a dud! I make notably less now, but I'm happy with what I'm doing and now I have time and energy to do my career. That's something I couldn't do while installing!
