Seen a few topics, just need to clarify something, does the hose come with new rubber ends like the one that comes off. One of my rubber has 2 splits in it are these supposed to be there?

 

I was able to replace mine with a piece of rubber sleeving resued from a large diameter electrical cable.

 

It's an odd internal diameter - 15mm seems to come to mind. It's not under any real pressure and no chemical attack, it does get a bit warm - hence the failure - but any bit of rubber pipe will do the job nicely. I think that the end caps are just there to prevent the pipe splitting at its ends.

Mine looked like a shredded python by the time I found what was causing my VERY POOR cold running.

In the UK a replacement is only £9 ($16). But I live 20 odd miles away from the Dealership and had a bit of electrical cable that did the job in the back shed.

 

Ordered the new hose, hopefully does away with the rubber connectors,put tape over splits for temp repair, popping noise stopped and idle speed less erratic. Thanks for help
