Does anyone know if it's possible to connect my car's phone system to my mobile via bluetooth? I can't seem to figure out the system. I'm not sure if it's possible or if it it already bluetooth capable.
It is a 2002 so I don't know how far along technology was with that then.
Thanks

In 2002 the fixed GSM handset was the still the usual optional Jaguar Telephone installation but Jaguar BlueTooth was also available as a very expensive option on the X-Type and other models at the time.
The quickest way to check whether BT is fitted without tearing the vehicle apart to look for the equipment is to press ##3#*# on the keypad. If BT is fitted, this puts it into 'Discover Me' mode for phone pairing and a prompt will appear on the display.
If not, then retrofit is not a cost effective solution. The Jaguar equipment is very costly and nowhere near as good as aftermarket alternatives. I have Jaguar BT in my XK8 but wouldn't consider fitting it if it hadn't been factory installed.
