Agreed, but if I get an X, this will be the one. I've looked around on eBay and my local Craigslist, and none are in my price range. I even found one with 124k miles for 8k, so it's looking like they may go a little higher than KBB in my area. Also, none of the ones I've seen are what I really want. This one is black, color matched bumper strips and trunk plinth (don't like the chrome), and it has a manual transmission. I do not want an automatic, and black seems to be the only color I like that these came with.

So as of right now, I may either wait until he comes down on the price, or just bite the bullet and take a chance. It all really depends on if I sell my Prelude for my asking price

Just remember: what the car is listed for doesn't mean that is what it sells for.

So my uncle calls and knocks another 1k off the price, so now we are sitting at 3,400 as-is. Also, I won't have time to put it back in myself because of my class schedule, so my step-dad is willing to work out a deal to where I pay his employee's wages for repair of the car, and nothing else. Probably looking at around 3,500 fixed.

Ok guys, other than the transfer case, what typically goes wrong with these cars and what needs to be addressed before purchased? My step-dad says that the engines are junk, and once something goes wrong with one it can't be fixed. Don't really know what that means, so maybe someone on here can elaborate?
