Default JTIS attempt

After many fruitless attempts at downloading JTIS, I tried HappyPlumber's link with the download them all on firefox and got it to download, but now I can't get it to run. I clicked on "disk 1" and doubleclicked "setup" but nothing happened. Any ideas?

I gotta get this manual to figure out how to change the coolant temp sensor on my 2002 X type. (I don't even know where the temp sensor is!)

Thanks!

Hey Plumber - tried the rt click, open as admin, etc. Seemed to work, restarted the computer, but still nothing.

Has anyone bought a disc off ebay that was worthwhile? The one I bought from an ebay seller called "ssyhpp" is useless.

hi merv. ive downloaded this application and im running it on my new hp vista premium. there are a few things one needs to do when instaling but it does work. ive writen step by step by step instructions but its afew pages long, so im not sure if its to long to post. as long as your downloaded file is 470,279KB it will work. you must however remove the tick from the odbc direct file when instaling. then once instaled, you may need to download and instal WINDOWS HELP FILE 6.0-KB917607-x86.msu to get the help program within jtis to work, but i assure you it does work

Here are another set of links:
http://rapidshare.com/files/269347085/JTIS.part1.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/269357698/JTIS.part2.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/269359871/JTIS.part3.rar

They might not be that fast for non-premium users though, but more links are always good to have.

thanks K, i've heard that the download is hanging or showing corrupt on a couple attempts. That's a great option for download. It is torrent, correct? or just zipped?

It is just zipped (or actually RARed, so you would need WinRAR or equivalent) The site it is hosted on requires a small wait period for free users (I'm a premium user) and somewhat limits the download speed, but it is another option.

It's also possible that people having trouble are running 64 Bit windows? I've tried it on Windows 7 64bit and it does not work. The Program installs fine, but the dao35 files won't install.

On XP 32bit it works perfectly. Be sure to run the dao35 installer after the main program installer.

I'm sorry, the link won't work anymore. I've set up a new one that appears to work. Click on the new one, and then navigate to JTIS.

Download

MRomanik, if you can find a version that has the 03+ schematics on it, that should give you some good information. May not have all the bells and whistles, but it will cover most of them. The motors and suspension are pretty much unchanged since the start of the X-Type, so, you will be good there. Most of what you may run into problems with is the electrical stuff (schematics not 100% accurate). So, if you can get your hands on a JTIS CD, it should take good care of you. The big thing is figuring out where things are hidden on the CD. Once you figure that out, tons of information there.

Any of these manuals work for the XF's?

Found most of what's posted here working on cannell. Interested in downloading the Mitchell Jaguar information system for most models 1983- if it contains any info useful for the XF. I don't want to burden the host site with an unneccesary download. Thanks.
