The JTIS downloads that supersport linked worked great, I could not load it from my computer as a virtual machine, but once I 'burned' the disc, then installed the program everything worked great. If you don't need the XJS repair manual, skip Disc 2 and all the other .rar files with it, and only download the Disc 1 files.

I wanted to thank everyone for posting the links to JTIS, but I also wanted to share a problem I had installing it and give the solution for anyone else who is getting the same error.
I installed JTIS on my laptop with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and everything seemed to install properly. When I started JTIS it would start alright, and some of the functions would work (What's New, Help, etc), but any of the useful functions like 'Service', 'DTC' etc would cause the program to lock up and I would get an error saying "MFC Application Error" and then the program would close.
To fix the problem you have install 'DAO', some old Microsoft database module. Fortunately, Jaguar included this on the JTIS CDs, so you don't have to go searching for it. In Windows Explorer go the CD, go to the 'dao35' directory and the the 'Disk1' directory. You will see a list of file, double click on the 'Setup.exe' file. This will install the missing program.
You'll probaby have to restart your computer, but JTIS should work properly now.
Thanks again,
Bob

I found an ebayer selling the 2005 JTIS, and its cheaper and less wait than the first UK seller.
If you want the 2004 XJ and some additional features over the earlier versions, I highly recommend this disc.

The last JTIS was in 2005 (v21)
Since then dealers and public use a subscription only online system called Jaguar GTR (now called TOPIx) to access info for models including all the latest ones
If you go to this site http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extf...prod/index.jsp (handy for free online owners manuals etc) and click VIEW TECHNICAL INFORMATION at the top it will take you to the site.

I downloaded this program and installed it, I have XP SP3. When I open it an try to do something, it brings up the window where I will select model and year for about a second and crashes. Also when I try to install: JCD-1\dao35\DISK1\SETUP.EXE it give me an error "The Parameter is incorrect." Does anybody have any ideas?

I have a 98 XK8 convertible with a problem. I have schematics but I need information about the operation of the Body Processor Module control of the convertible top. The last time I raised the top the rear side windows did not come up. The top did come up and latch but the sequence stopped at that point. Now the top will not go back down and the windows are open. I've checked all related fuses and relays. If I press the top up button nothing happens and no relays actuate. If I press the top down button the down relays for the windows actuate but do nothing since the windows are down. I tried to manually open the top following the procedures in the owners manual but it will not go down. In unlatch it withe the allen wrench and goes up an inch or so and no further. If I knew more about the Body Processor Module it might help to isolate the problem further.
Also, are there any diagrams for removing various panels to gain access to some of the components in the schematics?
