Pete,

You already posted an Intro in August 2016:

I've moved your question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Harry, when I had my x-type, during the summer, I would normally get around 25 mpg with a mix of highway (70%) and in town (30%). Get out on the highway, the car would get up around 28-30 mpg. There is not a significant difference when it comes to mileage between the 2.5L and 3.0L motor (I had the 3.0L motor). You might get 1 more MPG with the 2.5L motor, but that was always questionable.

During the winter months, plan on loosing about 3 mpg from the above. For some reason, the kitty doesn't like colder weather.

I used to live just south of you in Bremerton, WA. Me and Vancouver have a love/hate relationship. Seemed like every time I got to Vancouver, something bad happened to me (someone broke into my car and stole an expensive camera within 2 minutes of parking the car and had about $3000 of car stereo equipment stolen out of a different car hours after returning from Vancouver). Granted, that was also where I got to see Pink Floyd in concert at BC Place. Oh what a show.
