Default Jaguar X type 2003 security system failure

Hello,

So I am done changing my steering wheel and its bar & the kilometer box because the old ones failed. Now whenever I try to start the car with the new keys the alarm goes off and there is no way to stop it. Has anyone any clue about how to solve this?

Thank you!

What is a bar and kilometer box?

If you changed the steering wheel key lock, and/or the instrument cluster, the ECM is activating the PATS.

I changed the steering wheel and it’s components (bar) and the speedbox. I did found the problem however, it was the new key that didn’t fit the security system. I had it replaced with a copy of my old key 🙂
