Default jaguar xtype

i have a jaguar x type 2 deisel the car runs rough and lots of smoke from exhaust change the oil and made no diff

I have no experience with diesel: But ... bad fuel?

Black, blue or white?

White smoke would be indicative of coolant getting into the combustion chamber, probably cylinder head gasket failure. There may be back pressure evident in the coolant header tank when engine is running.
