jerking steering wheel
My wife had been complaining for a couple days about a shake in the steering wheel, so I got around to driving it last night. At low speeds the steering wheels jerks back and forth a couple of inches and if you take your hands off the wheel it pulls you into the lane/shoulder to the right. Obviously that is an alignment issue. Could the shaking also be connected to an alignment issue? She said she does not recall hitting a curb or large pot hole, but who knows? Also, I noticed there is not balance weight on the front right wheel, possible contributing issue? Any other thought?
Thanks for the help

Just about 100% sure it's not alignment
It's a bad tire. The low speed large displacement of the steering wheel can only mean one thing..... a seperated belt in one of the front tires. This is nothing to play around with. If your loved ones ride or drive in this car you need to fix it now not next week. If you can't buy a new tire put the spare on even if it's a mini. That tire will blow at any moment, low or high speed and it is causing the pull as well. To tell you the truth 95%++++ of pulls are caused by tires not alignment specs being out by a tenth of a degree. You can easily test this for yourselves. The next time you find your car pulling check the air pressure. If it is good and even side to side on the front axle and the car pulls to one side just swap the 2 front tires side to side. I have a twenty spot that says you car will now pull the opposite direction or go straight. Be warned, if you come to collect that 20 I'm going to swap your tires side to side.
