do you know the bolt pattern and offset of the BMW rims? How about the hub dimensions?

18" is not a problem. Obviously the easiest way to check it to try to mount one since you have them already.

Zuzana, no, the BMW M5 rims will not fit. The bolt pattern in the center of the wheel is completely different. The BMW uses a 5x120mm pattern and our Jags use a 5x108mm pattern. So, no luck there. If they were closer, you might be able to have a machine shop modify the rims for you, but that is too big of a difference to overcome.

BMW has some of the best wheel choices out there, but they definitely won't work unless you got adapters, which are not recommended as they put undue stress on your suspension and could potentially ruin it.
Redrilling is somewhat safer, as long as it is done by a reputable company/shop that knows what they are doing and has experience doing redrilling.
5x100, 5x112, and 5x114 can all be re-drilled to 5x108, as anything within 8mm should be able to be redrilled. However, it also depends on the design of the wheel, as certain wheel faces/spokes don't allow the redrilling. Also, another thing to take into account is the hub bore of the wheels. Jags (not sure if all models) are 63.3mm, while Volvo wheels are 64-67mm depending on model (S40, S60, XC90).
I actually own an S40, and joined this forum because I bought a set of wheels that were from a Jag and had been misinformed by the seller of the wheels that they had been used with hubcentric rings so they would work with my car. This was incorrect and they are also a little too wide for my car, so I am listing them for sale in places that Jag owners might see them for sale since they are super nice wheels. Check out the classifieds and S Type section for pics of the wheels, 20x9" 3 piece Asanti AF120.
