It's a fun road trip car. I actually bought mine in Connecticut (7 hours away from home) and drove it back, it was quite fun

Have a good time on your road trip!

>2005 X-Type VDP

Hey, besides the piping on your seats is there anything else that sets a VDP apart from other '05s? My '05 has the Alpine stereo with NAV unit along with the backup sensors, etc. Just wondering what else could be different.

I have the Alpine system, but I don't have Nav or backup sensors. I personally didn't want backup sensors because I don't like how they look, Nav could be nice though. Maybe a future upgrade.

As far as the VDP package, from what I've heard it comes with the seats, burlwood trim, the wood steering wheel, different wheels, and chrome caps on the outside mirrors. I have all of that stuff but I'm not sure how much of it is actually unique to the VDP since I have no other X-Type to compare it to.

well i already bought what i bought, but im happy wirh it so far... advertised as a sport version, but it wasnt really, apparently.

took it to the Jaguar dealer here yesterday, got established with them -- it did need rear brakes, so they did that. they listened for the aspirator motor but said not to worry about at this point. The alignment ill have to reschedule on, but its not bad.

get to put it on the highway for a couple of hours later today and back again tomorrow, then some good distance commuting through the week...

this is going to be fun!
