i like the chrome pillars except it would probably only look good with chrome mirrors and chrome door handles which i dont think they make...if some1 knows about chrome door handles could u message me cuz thats wut i really want

 

Adding chrome to these cars just screams "look at my car, look what I've done, Doesn't it look great?" NO!!!

Honestly jv I hate adding chrome but i must say that the chrome mirrors actually look great. If you've read all of my posts I hate adding chrome! Unless of course in the shape and form of wheels! But the mirros look great on the x-type. I can't remember now who had them but they look great (they were on a black x so that might be why but your car is dark colored.)

IMO the pillars, door handles, front and rear light chrome all look ugly.

Here's what you should add...

-set of 18" chrome wheels
-rear lip spoiler looks much better!
-chome mirror covers I think would look good
-tint (i have 50% tint and I don't think it's dark enough, a little bit darker would be better for the leather)

 

where can i see some pictures of your car? so i can see what the tiont looks like.

 

Hang on and I'll go take you a few...I'll have them up later this afternoon. I'll take some inside too so you can get a feel for what it would be like. The very most I'd go is 20% unless they have an inbetween % like 35 or something like that but most places are 50%, 20%, 5% and 0%. You'll never get pulled over with 50% at least so that is something to think about, you could also go 20% or darker in the rear and that will allow the rest of the tine to look darker but I'd make sure the side windows stay the same %. I can get pics of my sisters 04 grand prix with 20% all the way around...

-20-35% stock (i think but I'm not sure)

Things to think about would be...Are you a bad driver with tint on the windows? Can you back up w/out looking back or are you scared? Too dark of tint and you may find yourself in a ditch that you can't get out of! LOL
The other thing is whether you want to be hassled by the police for too dark of tint??? My buddy had tint on his car for over 3 years and never got pulled over and than one day a cop was just being an a-hole. He was pulling into the kroger parking lot and the cop was pulling out. He went out pulled back in and got out of his car while my buddy was pumping gas. He had 20% all around.

My sister hasn't been hassled w/ and she's had hers for a year now. She has 20% all around on a silver 2004 grand prix.

The 50% isn't bad but it's not dark enough IMO. It has been fine since I didn't pay for it! But if I had to pay to put it on I'd probably go 20% all around. Or if the tint shop has tint between 20 and 50 %. Most only have 3-4 variations.

Anyways enough babbling...





BTW all pics taken with moonroof closed but the actual door to the moonroofs were open.

 

I've always wondered if they could read triple digits! I wonder exactly how high it can actually read!

thanks for the pics. i see what you mean, the 50% looks good but 40%-30% would be better. it's not that i dislike the rear spoiler it is just not something i think i need or want right now.

 

The only thing to ponder is whether the police are the stickler kind or whether they allow you to get away with stuff like tint. If they are sticklers I'd get 20% on the rear window and 50 all the rest of the windows. The 20% in the back makes the entire car feel darker w/out blocking your visibility.
