Key fob programming
I changed the battery on my keyfob the other day now it fails to work.
I beleive i need to re register it with the car so i was wondering if anyone knew the procedure for registering it with the car. the whole turn lights on flash em 3 times kinda thing.
If you think the problem isnt this please tell but either way if the key fob is well and trully dead im gonna need this to add a replacement. so anyone PLEASE PLEASE share

There's a global close function that you can hold the lock button down (similar to locking the car from the door and holding the key to the right) and the windows and moonroof will close! You have to get it programmed from a jag dealer but i know it can be done just hoping racer gave you some info on it to do it yourself!

You're right Aquill my ole mate.........global close it is. I think we covered this before. I have it and a few others over here, maybe a UK thing as quite a few of you guys over there dont seem to have it. If I remember rightly it is only factory fit / dealer enabled.

RE: Key fob programming
I have also been looking for the auto window closer code. I looked thru the JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System) or the factory service book/cd if ya dunno what it is. But it says use the jaguar computer programming thingie same as it says for the key fob hence why i beleive its possible to set it yourself they just dont want to tell anyone (guess its a good little earner "buying a new jag sir? want to add auto window roll up for an extra $100") if i could get my hands on the jag pda or computer software and a harness id be happy to poke about and see what is going on.
but the jag inteface computer/pda thing needs to be a reasonable price say $200-$500 2-3k is just toooo much hell if i could just get the software i could probably make a wiring harness since itll use the standard OBD-II port

RE: Key fob programming
sorry guys..,I went awol.... I got a chance to take off to South Africal for a month.. just back at home now..
Funny I was staying in a great place .. the rich whites are not afraid to set them selves up well over there.. I had the keys to a new 07 Range Rover sport and a new Audi. RS4
It was nice that the RR had basically the same satnav system as my car. made getting around really easy and safer for me.
My car is for sale.. various reasons for that.. it is running nicely now but - a good time to pass it on. my sale was put on hold while I was away...
