I only received one key fob when I bought my car. I wondered about this question as well.

Needless to say I bought a few spare fobs (433.392MHz for UK and 315 MHz for US...maje sure you get the rightone) afterwards to keep at parents house and my house.
Also maybethe wiring to shortmay be opposite side with the drivers door being on the LH side in the US??
There was a thread on the .co.uk forum on how to install a button to unlock the boot http://www.jaguarforum.co.uk/viewtop...83&start=0but wont be much help if youre locked out.

There is a way:-
Hemust havelocked the car withhis only fob and then used the trunk release on the fob to open the trunk lid (rest of car locked still),put his keys inside the trunk and then closed thelid. As the car was locked before he used the trunklid button then the car remains locked after shutting the trunk lid.

That didnt work when I locked my keys in the boot.
Once "popped" the doors unlock but the car is still in its alarmed state (presume this is why the boot doesnt unlock so as to allow the button on the boot handle to allow it to open).
Opening any door activates the alarm but the boot remains locked.
