the latest messeges from the Jag
So if anyone has read my posts I had the dreaded gearbox fault, had the water issue with the TCM and it was fixed in January. Been fine till last week, gearbox fault again but when I shut off the car and re-started it cleared and was fine till today, came on again but with the added wrinkle of the DSC fault messege too. ABS light is on and so back to the dealership. On the way there all my gauges stopped working except the fuel gauge, then the battery light came on and the parking brake light and the red temp light although it wasn't hot.
Got to the dealer, re-started it and the gauges are working again, still in limp mode with both gearbox and DSC there.
I want to drive it off a cliff, too bad it is such a nice looking and intermitently (sp) nice driving car. Electrical gremlins seem to haunt Jaguars from the first one made, and while I was speaking with the guy at the dealer he got a call from a client with an XF who has his car in for an electrical issue (new) and is driving a loaner XF that just got the same issue.
So it seems even the new cars have issues. Too bad, I liked mine so much we sold our Z3 and my wife thought she would look into getting either an X or S type..........needless to say she bought an X but a BMW X5.
