here's my problem:

i'm not sure if im using the correct technical terms, but....
the LCD screen on my dash isn't working properly...
i can turn on my defrost/ac/heat and all features work, but the screen just lights up green with no digits or info....
i've attached a picture to explain better....
what could be the cause? anything i can fix on my own???

before it stopped working it was flashing and all these numbers were going crazy on the screen...then just went blank...!!!!

My screens are starting to flash too when my lights are on. Are the bulbs burning out?

 

Seems to be a normal problem.... as my does the same.
Every once in a while... the numbers come back on.

Yet I can get heat or cold air... so I just wing it... like in the old days where all you had was a knob to turn towards the red side or blue side. When it's cold... I want the heat to come on NOW! and then slowly turn it back down to comfortable.

 

You know, that was one of my biggest worries when I was thinking of getting my car back in 2008, whether the Nav unit display would hold up. I was sure it would be HUGH money to replace it so I was concerned about reliability.

Thankfully very few people seem to have had display problems with them!
