Default Leaking hoses in the cold

So I was driving home the other day and got stopped at a red light. I had the heat on 84 and noticed the car was blowing out cold air and not running up to par. I continue driving and I realize steam coming out of the engine, so i pulled over. It turns out, what i thought was a leaky hose, was really the piece that sticks out into the hose, and it was cracked. what do i do? Can this be fixed diy? Or should i take it to the dealership. The car is just parked outside my house, i kinda ghetto rigged it so where it doesnt leak anymore but i dont feel safe driving it.

List price is $192.21 and dealers charge price if they install it $131.26 plus labor.

WHATS NOT TO TRUST ABOUT REPLACING THE RESERVOIR? BUT THEN AGAIN YOU COULD SLIP A SMALLER PLASTIC FITTING INSIDE AND EPOXY IT ALL TOGETHER WITH SOME GOOD PLASTIC EPOXY. THE ADDED PIECE INSIDE WILL ADD STRENGTH. i KNOW XTYPE OWNERS ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO SAVE MONEY

This is something else I've had to do to my car in the past couple of months. Mine developed a hair line crack on the bottom of the tank, which when hot, will expand and cause a major leak. I would strongly advise against trying to repair the plastic tank (even with a high quality epoxy), due to the constant expansion and contraction the tank goes through.

The tank is not a dealer only item. Many Jaguar parts suppliers have these. I bought mine from Welsh for $130. Install time was less than 5 minutes.
