Bad bulbs, if it was the fuse none of the lights would work

One.........White 04(new member) was asking a question re the state of his headlights, some of which were working and some not.
It may or may not be his fuse, and he should check, however, there's no need to make the guy feel like an idiot for asking. Obviously he is not as technically gifted as you and was asking for the benefit of everyone else's experience..........the whole point of the forum.
Its comments like these that put people off posting in the first place!

Please let us know how you got on White 04

Lemme 'splain this to ya jim how I see it............

You don't have to ask if a fuse is bad if you simply check the fuses so the question is redundant.

Bad bulbs, if it was the fuse none of the lights would wor
Wrong answer. Lights are fused independently left and right as well as front and rear in some cars. It keeps cars from burning down if two different circuits get shorted.

One............I know, and I'm sure some / most of the members out there know too. There are, however, some that don't.
All I'm saying is..................don't make them feel like idiots for asking in the first place, especially the newbies!

Thank you

Jim

Well if you think it's a fuse, try # 35, 45 and 48, on left side of dash, they all control lights.

Hey one the other thing is that white04x also stated that the parking light was the light that wasn't working in the front not the whole headlight assembly...to me the whole right front headlight and the whole left front headlight would be fused together...not just the parking light fused by itself...pretty sure that's what jim was trying to say...as you stated if they are fused seperately it wouldnt' make sense for all other lights in the front to work if the problem were fuses.
As for redundancy as Jim stated he came on here to get help not a lashing...
