Lost Global Lock Function - FIXED

Hi: Over the course of a week or so struggling with a dying battery, I found that a clickety click no-crank condition will zero both trip odometers. Just so everyone knows that in advance.
I did rig up a little temporary battery to keep some juice in the computers while I took my defunct Interstate H7 in for exchange; there was maybe 15 seconds on either side of the swap when no power was on the grid but the radio held its stations and it did come back on OK without code input. Clock did forget and of course so did odos. But why can't I get the windows to go up anymore at final re-lock at bedtime like it used to do? Global seems to be something learned somewhere special (or unlearned in this case) but is there a way to put it back myself? Thank you. --Tom in hot AZ
