lower LCD screen replacement or repair?
when i got the car (about 2 months ago) I noticed two lines of pixels were out on the lower LCD screen, but it wasn't that big of a deal for me. Now, however, the screen is blank. I've checked online and can't seem to find a replacement and im scared to see how much the dealership is going to charge me for a new screen. Do you guys have any suggestions on where i can find a replacement or how much it will be to get it done at a dealership? Thanks!

Sorry to keep plugging away at this question but now im considering just converting the whole system to a navigation system. I know there are some problems with compatibility so i was wondering if anyone knew the process and could explain to me how to make sure i get a nav system that will work for my car. thanks!

I have a 7" touch screen installed in my car, here is a picture. It is hd radio ready, satellite radio ready, nav ready, and everything. It is an excellent system. The pricing is strange, because I had originally bought a 150 dollar cheaper touch system, and they sent me a better and more up to date system. ~Hey, I'm not complaining.~ So I took advantage and purchased a satellite XM tuner. The system was 350 + 96 for the tuner, and then install was 448. So my total for a new system totaled around to 894 dollars. I love it, you can also listen to your iPod, watch movies, and the whole 9 yards. Here is the picture.
In my opinion, totally worth it! The installer also provided the parts such as the conversion kit, rewiring the premium surround, the steering wheel controls and etc.
Here is all the information:
DVD Receiver: Satellite Tuner: GPS (this is quite costly):
Or if you want to save money and go with something jaguar x-type stock friendly, then try looking around on Google for the part numbers for the X-Type's nav system.
Here is a link where you can get all the info on the custom touch screen: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...s/AVH-P4300DVD
Good luck!
Hope I helped!
