I wonder why it was serviced at Stratstones in Newcastle upon Tyne for the for the first six years. That's three hundred miles North of Winsor Castle and nowhere near any known Royal residence!
Servicing then moved to Woodhouse Motors, an Independent about seventy eight miles from Windsor, on the other side of London. All v strange!

I hope I remember correctly: I read quite some time ago, that the Queens personal X-Type was sold...: To a buyer, who was not told about the provenance at all. He thought, he was simply buying an X-Type like every other. He found out only after the purchase... So I think the price in that auction will be "a wee bit" more...
