Default My First but not gonna be the last

OMG Guys,
I have just realised a life long dream of owning a Jag, and it has been this site that drove me to take the plunge and part with the hard earned cash. What an awsome site, all the little questions you ask yourself before doing things was answered here. but most of all its the car i got now, X type 2.1 v6 2003 auto, black on black leather, pro pack audio and that need to look at myself driving past every shop window at the reflection thing.
I wish i found you guys 10 years ago.
Thanks for a great site and this forums great sense of being a part of an elite owners club

Hey Jack n welcome aboard.

Thanks for sharing your story and also for the kudos you gave to the site, so glad we could help.

Not too many 2.1's here so you're probably kinda exclusive, but thats all good right?

How about posting up a few pics and showing off your pride n joy?

In the meantime I'll upgrade you to full forum access so you can better view all the sites features!

Glad to see you fullfilled a lifelong dream. Mine is to own a less than 5 year-old Italian supercar I guess.

Welcome and congrats!

Thanks Guys,
Yeh still at the 5 yr old at xmas stage at the moment with it, but hey 35 yrs is a long time to wait for santa. lol
Think it was fate on how i come to get it though.. I was a Jag wanna be at the time with my Rover 75, you know the one that looks like a Jag from the back (probley why i always overtook everything on the road just to be in front) the BMW that tried so hard to be what its always wanted to be. Well i broke a rear spring and a work mate offered to fit the spring, took it over to his place and drove onto his drive, he then said he was gonna get his tools and opened the garage and BAM the Cat just sat there staring at me. ofc i was all over it like maple syrup and he just casually asked if i wanted to buy it. he got the money the next day. if i didnt believe in fate, i do now. And sorry no pic's just now, cos it's not at its best, im referring to the post " warning windscreen replacements" but hey when its back to its glorious self the pics will be here.
Once again thanks guys and exexpat they do have Jags in Italy im sure of it....

I never imagined myself as a Jaguar kind of person. I was always "***** to the wall sports car" with the huge need for speed. I tried to move away from sports cars ten years ago and hated it, and six months later I was back in a sports car.

These days I work from home, rarely leave the house, and don't drive much. I needed a four door car - I have a kid and she has friends - and I was thinking of a used BMW or Mercedes, maybe even Audi. I just kind of wanted something different. And I noticed this one dealership on autotrader had this Jaguar X Type sitting on it's lot for a while. I went to look at a SAAB but didn't buy into it, but I took the Jag out and was instantly hooked.

Jack, if you have any questions, just ask. I'm sure someone here can answer what you are wondering about. So, ask away.

gragner66...thankfully i'm an ex brit...back in blighty leapers are not allowed thanks to the dept of transport, they decided that leapers are far too dangerous for the silly fools who insist on jumping on your hood (bonnet)
And you thought "we" have it bad here...hehe
