Default My x-type new upgrades what do guys think?

I had a complete re-spray same color I real like the blue a lot, I had the guy paint all the chrome except for around the windows on the door. I also have the Mina gallery side markers that where clear but with a black housing looks smoked out and the Mina gallery spoiler also replaced the driver side fog light which was broken then to top it off i got the 18x7.5 enkei SC05 Silver Wheels with new tires and lugs.... I already had the growler grill from mina gallery which was my first mod I also had the leaper shaved off and I had all the chrome painted.... I wanted to go for a euro sport look but elegant and luxury... What do guys think?

Hi Sleek n Subtle,

Very nice job, the car looks cool, sleek and most sophisticated!
Cool yeah very nice indeed!
The wheels are good too, tastey and not overdone in my humble...
Happy Days! Stu

The pictures only work for me if I open them in a new tab. They are not shown as pictures but rather as links, and opening them in the lightbox never loads the picture itself.

That being said, nicely done! I personally find the all-colour look (and thus all sport models) a bit odd, unless it's black, because otherwise I can see all the various trim bits that "should" be different colour. It reminds me of the models I used to build as a child when I couldn't actually paint them properly so they were just one solid colour

Btw, how were the chrome surfaces prepared for the painting? I've seen a few "murdered" cars recently which had the black paint falling off from the originally-chrome logos, plinths etc.

I like it, the wheels look great. Just needs to be lowered haha. I too want to paint all my chrome trim. I'm not a fan of chrome...

Thanks alot:-) the chrome I was told they had some product that they treat the chrome with before priming that let's the prime and paint /clear stick to it ... And yea I agree with you on the painting the front bumper and rear bumper trim but I've noticed that the cars over seas have no reflectors they have a single blade all on color so I'm just trying to mimic it a Lil.. And I would like to lower my x type but my wheels have a 40mm offset and they don't stick out but if lowered it it wud rub the inner rubber lining not the fender... I was thinking mina springs that only lowers 1 inch but they told me a 0.75 wud better but I don't know any springs that lowers 0.75 so I guess that's out of the question....I got a few more mods before I deem it completed.

I actually bought the euro front bumper blades from mina because I like that look better (and I needed a right side blade since mine was broken anyway). As far as lowering, what size tires are you running?

Just go with H&R. 1.4" is not really that much. Paint looks good. I like the front with your new grill and the leaper shaved. I would have kept the side lights but I like the chrome parts painted.

How much did you pay for the entire re-spray?
