Question my x-type is shaking !

wassup people ,

My 2007 , 2.0 liter v6 S , x-type , all of a sudden started making a weird popping sound .

I also noticed that under load or fast acceleration it hesitates and shakes , especially when the rpm meter hits 3 .

i also noticed some oil leakage inside the hood , not from below , it was solved but came back again , it is between the battery and engine on that metal floor .

is it the MAF sensor ? or that oil ? or dirty fuel filter ? or injectors ? TPS ?
i dont't want to spend a lot of money exploring which one is the cause
.

Mohammed, from the sounds of things, you have a problem with the PCV hose. What you will need to do is to remove the plastic cover off of the engine. If you look to your right (as you are looking into the engine compartment as you are standing between the headlights), you will see a hose about the size of your thumb running from just right of the air box to the intake manifold. If you pull that hose off, I bet you will find a rip in it. Replace the hose and that should solve a lot of your problems.

Red star. Make sure you look at the underside of the hose too.

Red Star. This hose is known for cracking and causing all sorts of issues with how the motor runs.

The hose is like $15 USD. So, it is a fairly cheap thing to replace.

Thermo,

What is the one with the blue star? I took of the corrigated rubber part to the intake and that hose with the blue star was dripping oil into that corrigated rubber hose.
