Navigation/ DVD Player

I have a 02 jag X type.
I have the navigation system and i was looking at the seperate unit in the trunk today.
I noticed it said "DVD" on it.
Does this mean i can play a dvd in my car through the nav. system?

NO, it means that the maps are storred on a disc in a dvd format.
