Unhappy Legal liability "Filled for life"??

I would suspect there might be some legal liability if parts fail due to old fluids being a direct cause of the failure. "Filled for life" could mean alot of things but in a courtroom it would mean the life of the vehicle. How that is defined is unknown but I would think it is a legal question that could come up if challenged in a class action suit. What makes this worse is that they dont provide us with the tools necessary to have the fluids removed. (long debates on what fluid types to use..etc) I think at a minimum they should create a service bulletin to change fluids at 100K!!

I have 105K miles on my Jaguar x-type 3.0 . I have been lucky with NO issues so far but my Jag has never been in the snow out here in California. (I take my jeep out for snow play anway)
Reading other posts online I think that keeping it out of the snow has kept it going for as long as it has since it doesn't have the strain a normal x-type would have.

However......they market these cars for snow...they should be able to drive AWD in the snow without fail!

anf filled for life if defined as the usefull initial purchasers ownership period as an avg. So go figure the initial warranty period. After that i would change all consistently.
And noour job is not to get the customer past the warranty period. Its to maintain a working relationship both before, during and when the time comes for a new one the hope that the whole relationship was a good one and another new car is purchased with us again along with refferalls. And we(i) strive to fix cars properly and as quickly and accuratly as possible so when you are footing the bill after warranty period you want to continue to trust that we'll take care of you, and n ot run off to take your chances with a lessor cost and experience person.and that starts from day 1

the lexus dealership that i work on uses toyota type t2 for transmission fluid, they haven't heard of jatco, im saying because i thought i could get lucky and bring some home. But they use that for lexus and exron atf for other cars... If anybody needs some tranny fluid lemme know i can get it on bulk

I am close to 100K in my 03 X, so I am in this boat as well. I am considering tune up, the transfer case, diff, and ATF fluid change.

I got quoted: $175 for the transfer case from an euro-import specialist shop, $90 for diff fluid change, and $210 for spark plug change (tune up, minus spark plugs - I got some ngk iridium plugs off ebay). Looks like I will be asking them about the ATF as well. I am amazed that this Jayco fluid is not on sale on Ebay, I swear you can find anything on there

would u trust Aamco to do this? they always advertise this power purge crapola - prolly not, I will just have the specialists do it
