Just got my new car Jaguar 2002 X type. Is this a front wheel drive or where can I find this info. It wasn't in the Manual

all US X types are all wheel drive.

Looks like you just volunteered, Pab.

tkhen, welcome to the forums. This is a great place with friendly people where you will learn a lot about your car and how best to fix it in the best most cost effective way.

What Pab was referring to was the transfer case. I won't go into all the detail here, but if you do some surfing on here you will find all about it. Basically the transfer cases are a weak link in the drivetrain. However, you do regular fluid changes on it and drive like a sane person you should be in good shape.
