Yeah, it's just finding a leaper. A guy is selling one of craigslist for 100. HE bought the wrong one. I just dont get how they stoled my leaper without riping it out.

These are Aruba wheels:

Also, the Sport version has been offered since 2002, I think. Mostly cosmetic with the body color bumper molding, aero attachments, rear spoiler, blacked out grill, bigger wheels and a little stiffer suspension. In 2005 they offered the carbon fiber/alcantara trim package for the interior. 2005 ws the last year a manual was offered and I also think it was the last year for the 2.5 engine.

Sarge- I think on YOUR car glossy black powdercoat wheels would look excellent. On my car though I think that flat black would look best. Your color is off the charts; I'm very jelous.

Default Yet another new X-Type owner!!

Hey guys, I didn't want to post up on the new owner thread until I got pictures of my brand new (used) '02 Jag X-Type 2.5L. This is my first EVER Jaguar purchase and I am so happy I found the forum to help me out!!! My first question may have been answered already, but is there a way to tell if the car has an integrated phone or not? It not only has the button on the wheel, but it has the ones on the sound system as well. The carfax showed it with an integrated phone as well.

Next question, If I have the integrated phone, does it work with a cell phone automatically, or do I have to get it set up by a dealer? and finally, Can any dealer call and set it up to work, or should I go with the Jaguar dealership near me?

Oh and sarge, I have a pic for you, since you so nicely let me hop on your thread...

Hey new guy, welcome!

Personally, I love the original jag wheels, you do not see them very much AT ALL. If you MUST get new ones, I think the grey powder coat will look the best. Just my thoughts.

I too love the new styling, but I must disagree with you on the Type of black to go with. I think glossy black rims, if powder coated and the center and edge rings still chrome would look absolutely smashing on ANY ride really. BTW, what are the recommended standard rims for the 02 xType? 2_5/_5/R16s are what's on mine now.

7Jag, if you press the phone icon and the "no phone" message comes up in teh display, then you do not have that option installed in your car. All the cars have those buttons, but the hands free phone was an expensive option not on all cars. I think the later models had it as standadr, like starting in 2006 maybe.

Well decided to go with STOCK rims and coating them black, black head lights and black tail lights.

I'll post pics when i get all this done. Which will be soon hopefully.

As for the stock radio, is it possible to change it with a dvd/cd players screen ?

My cousins friend is gonna spray em and coat em, nice shinny and clean. Leaving the reverse lights white though. So it should have a looks i saw once in a caddy.

As for the headlamps pure black. Thinking of buying the 08 grill and painting it black as well.

No it's been done before on my eagle talon. Gives it a unique and smooth look. Not that VHT messy and rough surface look.

Had it on the talon for over a year, never had a problem with cops.
