New user with question on ECM

I have a newly acquired 2003 X-Type that I suspect has a bad ECM. If I replace the ECM will I have to have new keys programed?

Certainly is a can of worms! I notice that you are in wise county. I'm in Hamilton County. If I bring it to you can you diagnose my problem for a fee?
