New X-Type for 2014
I was at the Auto Show yesterday in downtown Buffalo, NY. I was at first a bit disappointed as there wasn't an F-Type there that I could check out.
However, I started chatting with one of the guys working there and he told me, "there will be a new small Jaguar to compete with the 3-series and C-class in 2014."
He sounded pretty confident so hopefully we get an official announcement and some pictures in the coming months.

I hope under TATA management they wont ruin a nice model's image as they did with the 1st X-type. The X-type's commercial flop happened first of all because of poor management and lack of fine marketing.
P.S. You can see bellow how nice JagLR USA does its work:
A year ago I was sent a letter from them about A/C annual service blah blah blah...The point is, the header image of the letter...well you better see it yourself
A hint: check out the right side...it's the BMW E90/92! Whoever designed this header definitely was using his/her head!

I'm still surprised they didn't bring an F-Type, bad marketing move in my opinion. Acura had an RLX there and that's not due out until 2014. The local dealer here said they ordered two which will arrive around May/June. One is a base model and the other is the V8 with all the options.
As for the X, if it looks similar enough to the concept photos we've been seeing I'll trade in my '05 for a new one. I'd still like the option of a V6 along with AWD and some of the nicer touches that my VDP has like the additional wood trim and wood steering wheel.
Nardo: someone really got lazy with that graphic lol. As for Tata, I think they've been doing a great job. At least in my opinion, they've made the brand represent a step above MB/BMW through the way the market it. You aren't overwhelmed with ads like with the German brands but that's a good thing, it produces a more premium and exclusive image.
They may have some difficulty with that strategy when they introduce the new X. I think they'll have to market the hell out of it while not cheapening the brand. Doesn't sound like an easy task
